New Era Support

Good Morning Sparks.

Over the weekend we have been busy at SparkGate planning for the launch of a whole new type of Support.

It was a long winded decision making process outweighing benefits and downsides however we are going ahead.

Introducing SparkGate BBM Support. Our latest addition to TalkPoints portfolio. That's right, we will be issuing our BBM Pin to our customers who have BBM can contacts us at any time via the messenger app.

We have bought you this as we want to back up our ethos about our loyalty to our customers and the support we offer. This hasn't been done yet by large organizations such as ourselves as the demand is huge however we have made up plans to help us assist with any over loads. We wanted a way that proves to you our Support is genuinely live. If, like me, you hate waiting in call ques then this new Support approach really does take the annoying out of getting help.

The beauty of it is, if there is a problem where we need to contact you, we will simply ask for your name and then contact you via phone or email. Again, our way of being committed to offering the best of Support and loyal customer service.

If you have any worries or queries about the new feature, email us at bbm@sparkgate.co.uk or visit www.sparkgate.co.uk/support

Update regarding SSL

Hi all,

A very big thanks for your patience in our security issue.

It took a while but at last we have a resolution. It seemed something went wrong with the domain. As we changed a few settings to point our name servers to a new location, the SSL certificate had got a tad confused.

We have a new one placed on order for us and this will be installed hopefully by Christmas.

Once again, please be assured that we do nothing with your details unless you or law enforcement agencies ask us to. We only will when we have to.

We don't use your details for anything any way but the certificate is just our way of proving that we are adamant about protecting your details and trust.

Thank you again.

Kind Regards

Security Update

Good evening bloggers.

I thought I would blog about something that has recently come to our attention from one of our customers.

It was bought to our attention earlier today that there was an issue with SparkGate SSL connection.

What is SSL?
SSL or Secure Sockets Layer is related to all of your personal information sent from your computer to our servers via our website. It is the latest technology that establishes an encrypted (protected) connection between you and us. It was designed to protect you, the customer who we at SparkGate are adamant about protecting. When you send protected information including your bank card or credit card details and addresses, you put your full trust into us. As we fully respect. SSL protects you from unwanted visitors viewing your details.

We were I formed earlier today that SparkGates website (www.sparkgate.co.uk) has stopped displaying the SSL certificate issued by Verisign.

What you need to know
We at SparkGate take your security very seriously. Any personal details you transmit to us via our website are not viewed by staff unless under circumstances where we must use them in cooperation with Law enforcement. Your personal details are stored on a secured database protected by the latest security that we have personally invested in aswell as standard security feautures installed from WHMCS (our billing provider).

We will be contacting Verisign tomorrow as a priority to resolve what has happened, we intend to have our Verified status reinstated by Monday.

Thank you
We would like to thank you for your cooperation in this matter and understanding the importance and seriousness of this. We want you, the customer to feel secured and we respect your trust in us. Believe me, our every bit of trust is in you.

I will leave you with this and update you with more info.

Sleep tight Sparks!

End of an Era, Well Kinda

Good Evening Bloggers,

As you read from the title, today's post isn't a good one. Kind of.

As you know SparkGate had invested in our modernisation and becoming a company that is up to date. SparkGate Fibre was a revolution for us as it gave us a whole new perspective to focus on so we could provide you with even more services. It was a new born for us. We birthed it, raised it invested alot of time and money into it. Sadly, SparkGate Fibre has now grown up. Although still in young days, it's time to say farewell as we see Fibre depart from the SparkGate Brand.

But....

Yes, a but. A very big one aswell. (We are not talking about what you are probably now thinking).

It'snot going to end there. The clue is in the last sentence of the above paragraph. I'm not going to tell you everything. That would ruin things. All I will say is something interesting is coming.

I'll finish this short update on a goodbye.

We say farewell to SparkGate Fibre.

Thanks again for the read, stay tuned.

Hoorah!

Hoora!

We have access!

Good morning bloggers. It's my great pleasure to announce that I have access to my account following a slight incident of... well... in all honesty, me forgetting my password. Doh! (Doh property trademark of Homer J Simpson, thanks for the saying).

So my last post was a little tribute to one of my Idols, Sir Richard Branson. Since then i've shared a Margarita with the man himself on a Virgin Atlantic first class lounge in Dubai over looking the beautiful sunset. I then woke up.

SparkGate Today!

So, You all know how I love to update you with some deep insider stuff directly from the top. We've had some major developments and we also suffered a shortfall. Hey, you value honesty.

SparkGate Hosting
So we made  a successful launch of our Data center. Our formation with Praxis Group was a success. We obtained our financial backing we needed to get the right services, software and hardware for you as well as the other stuff such as the security etc. The company has begun agreeing contracted partnerships and has begun trading with a large client base. We are providing to some pretty big names. Further to this, we've purchased off shore servers meaning that we've become your local. (Added note: Please do not attempt to purchase beer from the data center, by local I mean we're in your country meaning faster speeds, not fresh ales.) We completed our speed tests and, you ready for the bragging?... we aced them! We did some sneaky under cover work with our competitors, and we found that our speeds are not only faster, but consistent and reliable. #justsaying. We're running some developments to the brand. It's possible that we will change a few visuals and perhaps names. This is still an on going plan and we're deciding whether it is necessary to do these or whether it can wait. There is indeed method in our madness. Added to this, remind yourself of our historic branding.

We recently switched our Support client over as part of our ethos behind the support we provide our customers. This move saw the introduction of Mobile Support agents. The theory was that instead of having our dedicated support staff head to the office on the nights for a night shift (sitting in an office can be very boring when the only activity outside your room is the cleaner hoovering the track of Digestives crumbs laid from the tea breaks), we would allow our support agents to work from the comfort of their own home (where they can freely lay Digestive crumb tracks) in front of their warm fire and a bit of Sky sports. They are equipped with Android phones with the support client connected to our servers so when you, the customer, has an issue; there will be an agent who receives a message on their phone that you are in need of help. They then load up the company laptop and commence the support conversation. These are not bots that auto reply.

We, the executives, monitor this system daily and view the reports of each ticket sent in to us. So far, it has worked a treat.
As our focus is YOU, and what with Christmas approaching (it's nowhere near Christmas yet, I haven't seen the Coca Cola truck advert *Crosses arms and pulls grumpy face*), we thought we'd provide you with some offers. You'll need to check Facebook for these.

SparkGate Fibre and (Hidden Name)
This is where our short fall happened. We made huge progress with Fiber Operations. Complex works were and still are being carried out to install fiber in as many places as possible. Our issue was the major works that must be undertaken to ready neighborhood's for a switch over into the world of rapid speeds. Obtaining planning permission to dig roads up can be tricky. We agreed as the executive board that we all hate being in traffic jams. So we wanted our work to be undertaken at night time when the roads are quieter. The operation however lagged because of planning issues which we now believe are dealt with. It's best to double check the website to see if your area has our fiber installed, is ready and lit. We came out of that short fall a few weeks ago and we're moving forward once again. Further to this, and an addition to our development portfolio. We've announced the unveiling of an upcoming venture which is remaining under secure wraps until we are ready to unleash this beast. When it comes to the unveiling, head to the shelters and make sure your ready for the bomb of all bomb shells. So Stay tuned!

Well, as your probably now half asleep from this read. I'll finish off here now.

Once again, thank you very much for your support, custom, trust and patience as we make our company better for us and more importantly, YOU!

Mr Branson, A hero, inspiration and idol

So, at 15 Years of age, I started researching about a business success as part of a school project. I really wanted to get top grades for this so I went all out. Researching multi million pound companies turning over millions. At that age, the only thing on my mind was bike riding, owning a BB gun and throwing wet toilet paper to the ceiling of my high school toilets.... As well as the whole girlfriend drama. It wasn't until I stumbled across Richard Branson. I had heard his name a few times what with my school being a business specialist school and all that. SO I delved into the depths of Mr Branson doing a 1 page introduction about him. I read through allot of stories and books. I think it was at this point my business mind kicked in. I was truly inspired by Mr Branson because through thick and thin and all the doubts and failure comments from others, he stuck at it. Many people throw in the towel and raise the white flag when times get rough but choppy waters make the ride a little bit more fun.. right? Well it's more that we can take a lesson from the choppy waters and learn from mistakes. I recently read his new book "Like a Virgin" which is an amazing book. One of the many lessons I have took from Mr Branson is his whole Fun philosophy and how maintaining your business should be fun for everyone, not just customers but the staff aswell. I was more so interesting in how Mr Branson had taken time to scope his business from the customers view and the other lesson I took from the book was that it is better to look at your business from the outside in. Only then can you begin to get a scope on where your business may be going wrong. How long customers are on hold for. How the customer services team speak  to their customers etc.

Mr Branson is a man who is in fact my Idol, inspiration and hero. All my business ventures which I plan to do within my lifetime to achieve success and satisfaction. For a man that hasn't done anything for me physically and directly. He has provided me with the ambition to strive for success in life and get the best out of what is yet to come.

So fellow bloggers. Now you know what drives my business mind and the ambition to get the best for and from the customers. You'll never be failed. I leave you with a quote which is very inspirational and is on my bedroom wall....

"You have to be the change you wish to see in this world." - Ghandi.
